 Chris McKillican
Director of Marketing
Gary McKillican is pleased to announce that Chris McKillican is joining the company as Director of Marketing effective April 5, 2010. Having worked in the company for two years in the early 1990’s he has a good understanding of the company’s products and markets. In addition Chris has completed the Texas A & M Quality Distribution Management Program. Chris graduated from Center for Digital Imaging and Sound Recording Arts Masters Program in 1995 and subsequently held positions as Creative Director at SW Audio Visual, as well as Production Director at Think Marketing Advertising Agency.
In 1997 Chris started his own production company, Peak Media. Peak Media specialized in delivering live media events, creating content for a diverse list of clients including CBC Television, Shaw TV, TSN as well as a range of sporting events such as FIFA World Cup Soccer, Vancouver Canucks , World Junior Hockey and the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. Chris also has experience in working in live music productions with artists such as Diana Krall and Elton John. In addition Peak Media has been involved with presentations including President Bill Clinton and most recently Chris played a successful role contracting with the video production team of SW Audio for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
The company recognizes the need for the evolution of marketing to embrace the wide variety of media opportunities today. B2B and interactive web sales are part of the future direction of the company. Chris brings experience in mediums such as high definition video acquisition and production, webcasting, and broadcast delivery which can be used in promoting the company and its products, people and services to the market. In addition there will be focus on internal communication and training. Chris will be able to help the company move forward in these areas as it recognizes the importance in utilizing today’s suite of creative software products in a variety of production formats.
Chris will be very actively involved with the U.S. and Canadian Teams to develop the marketing to some new and exciting opportunities in future that will assist our people in accomplishing their productivity goals.
Chris enjoys snow and sail boarding as is an avid road cyclist. He joins the Company effective April 5th and is currently living in Kelowna and will be moving to Vancouver, British Columbia in future.

Panels and Hardwood Plywood
McKillican's goal is to become a solid leader in the sale of panel products for all our US and Canadian branches. This is essential in driving our hub and spoke model. as the panel products are the "backbone" of the weight required to keep trucks moving into each branch on a multiple truck per week basis.
Starting in the industry by working in a plywood mill while he was still in high school, JJ has over 35 years of experience in both the production and sales of hardwood plywood, melamine and composite panels. His ability to deliver solutions to customers' needs has enabled him to build consistent programs with lasting returns. JJ believes that delivering the right product, at a competitive price, backed up by outstanding service is the path to success for McKillican and our partners – both customers and vendors.
JJ will provide the leadership to this category and assist in developing programs and provide the management and coaching required in our branches. The market size even in the softer market today is immense, and based on the ability to grow immediate market share in each branch in Canada and US, the company has decided to make this investment with this newest role.
