U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)

USGBC

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system represents the U.S. Green Building Council's effort to provide a national standard for what constitutes a "green building". (www.usgbc.org).

McKillican is a member of USGBC.

This is a building performance rating system administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC). (www.cagbc.org)

Can I get my product or service LEED certified?

The U.S. Green Building Council does not certify, endorse, or promote products, services, or companies, nor do they track, list, or report data related to products and their environmental qualities.

Qualification for LEED® Points

Our reference to Certified Wood Products does not sanction compliance with a LEED standard, but rather the certification expressed by the manufacturer and their testing agency.

Many of the products by the nature of these tests would qualify for contribution toward LEED points, however  the reader must verify the particular certification requirement whether it be FSC, No Added Urea Formaldehyde, CARB, GreenGuard and so on.

A full outline of the qualifications for LEED POINTS maybe found on their web site.  www.usgbc.org
