FSC Pacific Albus hardwood lumber

General Description

FSC Pacific Albus Plantation hardwood lumber

While Collins Pacific Albus is a hardwood, it’s also a good alternative to many industrial, western softwood applications and is a good alternative to Alder, Aspen, and Basswood

Pacific Albus™ is a hardwood species ideal for a variety of uses including moulding & millwork, cut stock, furniture applications, pallet stock, and much more. Because it’s tree farm grown, the quality of the product is consistent, uniform, and — importantly, always available. It is also certified under the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council’s Plantation Standards.

Environmental Description

Collins was the first privately owned forest products company in the United States to be comprehensively evaluated and independently certified by SCS under the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Let the land dictate the practices, not the mill’s need for logs. Be patient, be prudent, be good stewards of the whole forest—the watersheds, the birds, the plants, the animals.

The Collins Companies is embarking on a new Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood products venture in conjunction with GreenWood Tree Farms (GWTF) and GreenWood Resources (GWR). Collins is building, and will operate, a state-of-the-art sawmill, along with marketing the mill’s products. GreenWood will manage the 35,000-acre FSC certified forest.
