Roseburg underlayment complies with the requirements of HUD 24 CFR Part 3280.308 for formaldehyde emissions. Test Method: ASTM E 1333-90, “Determining Formaldehyde Levels from Wood Products Under Defined Test Conditions Using a Large Chamber”. Formaldehyde: This product contains formaldehyde from low-fuming resins used as a binder in the manufacturing process. For some people, off gassing even from products made with such low fuming formaldehyde resins may be irritating to the eyes and upper respiratory system. Use with adequate ventilation. If symptoms develop, consult your physician. Wood Dust: The sawing, sanding, or shaping of this product will produce wood dust. Prolonged exposure may cause respiratory, eye, or skin irritation. Use appropriate protective equipment when working with this product.

Full sanded face. Available in T&G or Square Edge. Dimensionally stable and easy to install.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Board underlayment must be applied over appropriate code-approved subfloors. The subfloor must be of wood construction, dry,
level, securely nailed, and free of all dust, dirt, and debris.Crawl space in basementless structures should be at least 18” from the bottom of the floor joists.

When Roseburg particleboard underlayment is to be applied with nails or staples, panel subfloors must be at least 5/8” thick with a
minimum 32/16” span rating.When Roseburg particleboard underlayment is to be glue nailed, panel subfloors must be at least 15/32” thick with a minimum 32/16” span rating.

Plywood subfloor face grain should be perpendicular to joist system.
Lumber subfloors must be at least 1” nominal thickness and not over 8” wide (i.e.1”x8”). A vapor barrier with a maximum rating of 1.0 per M should be used over board subfloors (except when underlayment is
glue nailed) and as a ground cover in all basementless crawl spaces.
Areas over furnaces should be insulated and well ventilated. Hot air ducts should be insulated to prevent localized drying and shrinkage of floor components. See rfpco tech and installation below.

LIMITATIONS
Roseburg particleboard underlayment is not intended for use
in exterior applications or in damp locations.
BUILDING CODE
This product should be installed in accordance with all applicable
building codes.
